The rainbow family gatherings are not comprised by any specific public or private organizations, there are no members or leaders and is a free to the public annual event that happens every summer on and around the week of the 4th of July.

The rainbow family gatherings are a unique spiritual, community minded and family focused celebration encompassing a broad range of ideologies that are based in peaceful interactions intended to help stimulate a vision of harmonious coexistence. The core tenet of these gatherings beyond the sharing of knowledge and networking for the greater community good is a silent prayer for world peace.

These community-inspired events are held on stewarted land that is also open to the public and are managed by The United States Forest Service (USFS) which is an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture that administers the nation’s 154 national forests and 20 national grasslands. The USDA Forest Service’s mission is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the Nation’s forests and grasslands to meet the needs of present and future generations. Its motto is “Caring for the land and serving people.”

You are invited to attend the informal town hall style meeting as well as the gathering. Both engagements are part of ongoing efforts to stimulate the exchange of information, sharing our common understandings of community and as a welcoming forum to facilitate a simple vision of a world at peace. We are all interdependent upon each other and it is imperative that there be mutual understanding for the sake of peace.

By eliminating the gaps of separation and divisions it is hoped that harmony will be ever closer through care and mutual understanding. Conversation is a good start to help foster a shared evolution so that we can all realize our own empowerment with solidarity in knowing that as a rainbow family the world can be a better place for ourselves, our neighbors and for the future generations of humanity.

Let us start today, being the generation our ancestor prayed for. A brighter future with less tears and an opportunity for our children to grow in a healthy environment that installs a sense of pride knowing they are loved.

A simple prayer for world peace.
